Following on from the success of our first summer school, the Irish Diaspora Foundation is now planning this year’s event, which will take place on Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of July.

This year’s theme will focus on arts, culture and sport, all of which prove to popular topics with the Irish and those interested in Irish history, in Manchester.

There will be a practical feel to the summer school with a chance to watch a Gaelic football match, to participate in a writing/acting workshop, and also a number of trips and tours around Manchester, with a chance to learn about the many Irish sporting and artistic connections that Ireland has to this city.

We are in the process of finalising our programme but will keep you updated once the timetable has been set.
