This year’s Cheetham Festival will take place from Friday the 12th of September to Sunday the 14th and the theme is Feasting and Fasting. Cheetham’s places of worship, heritage centres and museums will be hosting free events, exhibitions and open days.
This is the fifth year of the Festival which reflects the strong sense of belonging shared by the different faith and cultural communities in this lively part of the city.
The weekend springs into action with ‘A World of Welcome’ here, at the Irish World Heritage Centre on Friday the 12th September from 7:30pm - 9:30pm.
Building on our success from previous years we will provide traditional Irish dancing, music and a delicious, generous Irish supper. This is a family event, all are welcome and entry is free.
We will also be exhibiting work created by local primary and secondary school children based on the Feasting and Fasting theme.
